“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.” John 14:27

I pray these words bring encouragement to you. The world has dramatically changed in the past few days, but God is still in control! As the church, we must move forward. We must live not by fear, but by faith. We will continue to be the church even if though we must look for new ways to connect with each other.

Starting this Sunday, we will not meet in the same building, but we will still worship together. We will move our services online. I encourage you to participate by watching the sermon online. I encourage you to share it with your friends. We may not be able to take them to church, but we can take the church to them. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity to show the hope of our salvation. This Sunday, I will be at the church from 10am-12pm. We will have a “Drive-thru” Prayer time. This will not be to gather but an opportunity to drive-in for a time of prayer (from a distance).

What about giving? I have been asked, “how do we give during this time?” Right now, we have 2 options. You can drop it off at the church between 10am-12pm on Sunday or mail it.  We are working on a way to give online, we will let you know when that is ready. Mailing Address is: Cornerstone Baptist Church P.O. Box 1016 Jennings LA 70546.

I know there will be other questions. Please do not hesitate to call or send me a message @ 337-329-2750.

I want to encourage everyone, especially our “high risk” members to be wise and follow the guidelines our leaders have set. Remember to:

  • Practice social distancing
  • Stay home as much as possible
  • Avoid gatherings of 10 people or more
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Encourage others to do the same

If you are in need, please contact the church and let us know how we can help.

“Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6

God Bless,

Eric
